Cold Lake

Braden thought it was pretty great to "try out" a 50 caliber sniper rifle.....

but Wesley thought it was even better!

Amy and Jaelyn were checking out the tank.

Thanks Dan and Aimee for a great weekend!!

Trip to Cold Lake

At the end of August, we made a trip to Cold Lake, AB to visit Mike's brother Dan and his family. We had a great weekend of fun and were able to take in a Christian concert and Race The Base, a charity fund raiser at the Cold Lake military base where owners of exotic race cars pay to enter their cars in a race against an F-18.

Uncle Mike had lots of fun playing with his nieces and nephew...he made a great horse!

Dekker - 15 weeks

Our little puppy is growing up...Dekker is 15 weeks old here and weighs about 20 pounds.

A few more birthday shots

Near the end of Nana's trip to celebrate her birthday, we took a day-trip to Invermere, BC to drop Amy off with a friend. We had a nice day with beautiful weather, a tasty patio lunch and a relaxing drive.

Between Big Valley Jamboree and Invermere, mom and Aunt Audrey stopped off at Ryan and Kim's for a little visit. Rone helped pick the centre piece for the table and they celebrated with a cake.

Nana's 65th Birthday

Two weeks after arriving home I was missing time in our trailer, so I arranged to take my mom and my Aunt to Big Valley Jamboree for mom's 65th birthday. We had the most amazing weekend enjoying perfect weather, great entertainment (Miranda Lambert, The Oakridge Boys, Martina McBride, Kevin Costner and Keith Urban to name a few) and great company. Happy birthday Nana!

Welcome Home!

We arrived home to a surprise party that Mike's mom, Judy, had organized for us. The kids were SO happy to see all their friends! Thanks mom!!!

On the way home from Kelowna, we stopped off at Dave's Goat Walk so Amy could feed to goats.

Ahh.....back home at last. It was a fantastic time away as a family and a time we will always treasure. What a blessing to have four months of uninterrupted family time. Thank you Jesus!

Kelowna

We spent some great days in Kelowna with our cousins. They took us out on their boat and we all had a fantastic time!

We took a day to go to this river (I can't recall the name of it). There is a great swimming hole that we often go to with a rocky beach. The kids love hanging out here on a hot day.

And of course, there is the "annual mud bath" where they scrub each other up with the river mud.

Oh yeah, baby!
